In what promises to be a fascinating session, Roy Vickery of the South London Botanical Institute will be running a wild plant and flower walk around Woolwich Common.
Roy Vickery worked as a botanist at the Natural History Museum for over 30 years as the museum’s curator of vascular plants. He has published five books on plant folklore and is a former Honorary Secretary of the Folklore Society.
The SLBI, created in 1910, provides facilities for the study of plants including ecology and conservation, and aims to encourage interest in all aspects of plant life.
